What does Dropout Prevention Do?
Our team works closely with student support staff and administrators to identify students that are struggling academically due to excessive absences.
Dropout Specialists
We act as liaisons between the schools and students and their families. We talk and visit with students and their families to find out what obstacles are keeping them from going to school. We monitor attendance and connect students and their families with resources and options they need to graduate.
Step-by-Step
We visit middle schools to inform 8th grades what is required of them to be successful once they get promoted to high school through our interactive presentation.
Steps-to-Success
We visit areas within our district with low attendance rates to provide information and support to our families near their neighborhood schools.
