Nine TUSD Students Named Young Women of Impact by the University of Arizona

Hosted by the university’s Office of Research, Innovation & Impact, the Young Women of Impact initiative is part of the larger annual Women of Impact campaign that honors women faculty and staff at the U of A.

Young Women of Impact celebrates high school students who are recognized by school leaders, teachers and counselors for making an impact on campus; embracing educational opportunities; taking on leadership roles; and modeling the core values of integrity, compassion, exploration, adaptation, inclusion and determination. In 2024, 30 students from public high schools across southern Arizona were named Young Women of Impact.

The nine TUSD honorees are:

  • Rose Jacobo Ojeda - Palo Verde
  • Jasmine Jesson - Santa Rita

  • Trivene Magar - Catalina
  • Joselyn Pruitt - Sabino

The inaugural networking luncheon and speaker panel was aimed at building a bridge between women beginning to think about their college and job paths and those in the prime of their career.
