University High School's German program has been recognized as a German Center of Excellence by the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG)! The award honors established, outstanding German programs in K-12 schools and universities with demonstrated excellence in teaching.
UHS German teacher, Kerstin Meyers, has exhibited an unwavering passion for language education and has employed innovative, active, and effective instructional methods to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment. Her dedication to student success and her ability to connect with and motivate learners are truly exceptional and are evidenced by the regular student participation in the program and the consistent top awards in the National German Exam, and high scores in AP exams.
