World Languages Program

We offer students the opportunity to learn the following world languages at the middle and high school levels:
(Not all languages are available at every school.)

German
Mandarin Chinese
Pascua Yaqui
Spanish

Middle School/K-8

American Sign Language: Miles
French: Doolen
Spanish: Alice Vail, Booth-Fickett, Dodge, Doolen, Hollinger, Mansfeld, McCorkle, Pistor, Roskruge, Safford

High School

Advanced Placement (AP), Honors and International Baccalaureate (IB) world language courses are available at certain high schools.

Seal of Biliteracy

The Arizona Seal of Biliteracy program recognizes high school students who demonstrate proficiency in English and at least one additional language. The seal is placed on the student's diploma and noted in their transcript.
