Frequently Asked Questions
The event is from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., but doors may open as early as 9:30 a.m. We are recommending families arrive early.

Parking spaces are available at the Palo Verde High School student parking lot on east Calle Betelgeux. There will only be one gate open to serve as the entrance and exit.

No, there is no registration. However, there will be check-in tables at the entrance where families will need to stop by. Families will need to provide their kid(s) name(s) and what TUSD school they attend. There will be a resource fair and lunch that will be provided for participating families at the event.
 
You will need to sign in before entering, you will then be given a passport card for each child that is registered. The passport card is required to have 7 stampes/signatures from our Community Partners at the Community Resource Fair, which allows you to proceed to the designated backpack distribution area to tun in your passport cards and receive a ticket to redeem your backpack(s).
Yes; after checking in, you will receive a ticket for each TUSD-registered student that will allow you to receive ONE free backpack for each student.
We will have enrollment ambassadors available to help register students on-site.
 
No; we cannot reserve items and cannot guarantee we will have leftover products. We have limited backpacks that will only be distributed at the event and be available while supplies last.

IF there are leftover backpacks, they will be distributed to our Family Resource Centers the following week.
