Questions & Answers about the SNAP Parent Health Portal
SNAP Parent Portal provides direct access to the health records of your student, like an electronic health record portal provided by your physician’s office.

Participation in this program is voluntary and is expected to greatly increase communications between you, as a parent or guardian, and our department, School Health Services, which provides health services to all Tucson Unified schools.

The SNAP Health Portal is a secure website you can use to view and update your student’s health information and communication with the school health office.

Once you are enrolled in the SNAP Health Portal, you will be able to:

  • Easily update your student’s health information as it changes.
  • Upload healthcare provider orders, physicals, and vaccination records.
  • Direct message with the healthcare team at your school.
  • Download forms, fill them out, and return them to the health office.
The SNAP Health Portal is both compliant with The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) rules. Studentehr.com is protected by Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) security to encrypt private health information while in transit (security used to protect credit card information).

Although your student’s contact information is displayed on the SNAP Health Portal, you can’t change it directly in the portal. Please contact your school’s front office to make the contact changes. Once you complete this process, SNAP Health Portal will update that night, and the changes will be reflected in your portal the next day.

Once you logged into the health portal, click “vaccines” in the left menu. Click “proof of vaccination” then click “upload proof of vaccination”. Drag and drop or click to browse your files to find your document. Your document will then go directly to the school health office for review.

No. All your students where you are listed as a parent/guardian will show up in your single portal access. You can switch between each student directly on the portal.

Once you logged into the health portal, click “forms” in the left menu. Find the form you would like to download and click “download” on the right. Unfortunately, you cannot just complete the form in the system. Instead, you will need to bring the form, completed, with you to the health office when you drop off the medication to be administered. This must be done in person.
Log into the health portal and click “messages” in the left menu. The message will display. You can reply to the message at this time as well.
