How did nine Tucson High students expand their worlds this summer?
They attended the EF Education Global Leadership Summit in Berlin, Germany in July. Organized through the THMS Travel Club, students worked in teams to create solutions to worldwide issues.
While in Berlin, THMS students also visited one of the largest urban vegetable gardens in Europe, attended a discussion about the Cold War, and experienced daily life in Germany.
Martha Reed, advisor of the THMS Travel Club, says about the experience, "Although I have taken students on over 20 EF Educational tours, this is the first time I have been able to take students to the Global Summit and I believe it may be the first group from TUSD ever to take part.”
