As one of Tucson Unified’s newest state-of-the-art schools, Mary Belle McCorkle Academy of Excellence offers academically rigorous learning opportunities through a project-based learning (PBL) approach, engaging students in a challenging and nurturing environment.

Deanna HarrisDeanna has the distinct pleasure of serving TUSD schools for 27 years as a middle school science teacher, science resource teacher, learning support coordinator, instructional coach and for the past 10 years as a district administrator with seven of those years at beautiful McCorkle Academy. Deanna received her teaching degree from Prescott College and Masters of Educational Leadership with a Principal Certification from Northern University of Arizona. Deanna has had the incredible opportunity to be a scuba instructor and met her husband while diving.
