Borton Magnet Elementary School at a Glance
Eric started as an educator teaching Social Studies and coaching basketball at the Fenster Boarding School. He then moved to TUSD during the Fall of 2010, when he started working as a Social Studies teacher and department chair at Palo Verde High Magnet School. Eric went through the entire turnaround process at that school and was very proud when they did receive an “A” letter grade. He became an MTSS Facilitator at Project MORE in 2016 and he worked there until he was appointed as an Interim Assistant Principal at Booth-Fickett Magnet School. In 2018, Eric served as Assistant Principal of Curriculum at Tucson High Magnet School. Now he is applying his experience in Magnet schools to Borton’s theme of Project Based Learning and Systems Thinking, and is dedicated to ensuring students become 21st Century learners in our diverse world.
