Ochoa Elementary School 100th Anniversary Celebration
Students, families and staff weren't the only ones joining the festivities. Relatives of Estevan Ochoa, the school's namesake, were also in attendance.
Ochoa School was built in 1921 as a seven-room schoolhouse and named for Estevan Ochoa, a pioneer board member, legislator and mayor of Tucson who helped pass the first Territorial legislation authorizing public schools.
Here's to 100 more years of serving Tucson's students!
