ATTENTION TEACHERS OF 3RD GRADE STUDENTS
We have created a document that will assist with your mathematics instruction for 3rd graders who will be taking the AIMS this school year. As you know all third grade teachers were asked to implement our TUSD 2012 Mathematics Curriculum (that encompasses the AZ Academic Content Standards in Mathematics) beginning with SY 2012 – 2013. However, third grade students across our state continue to be assessed on the 2008 AZ Mathematics Standard in the spring of 2013 and 2014. Information included in this document can assist us in making appropriate instructional decisions to effectively prepare our students for spring assessments as we progress through this transition.
