Superintendent of the Year

Tucson Unified School District was proud to take part in the EmpowerED25 celebration, hosted by the Metro Education Commission. We congratulate all of our outstanding students and staff who were recognized for their dedication and achievements. The evening featured inspiring remarks from community leaders who continue to celebrate and support education across Tucson. A special congratulations to Dr. Gabriel Trujillo, honored as Superintendent of the Year for his exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to our schools.

Cholla Student Earns Congressional Art Award

There's a long, underground tunnel that connects the Congressional Offices to the US Capitol. It is lined with works of art from high school students all over the nation. With help from the Grijalva family, Congressional District 7 is honored to select a piece from Cholla Senior Eric Andres Alvarez to be displayed there for a year. Eric gets a free airplane ticket and accommodations for the opening reception. Congratulations, Eric!
