About Magnet Schools
All of the Magnet programs from kindergarten through
high school offer students and parents choices and educational
opportunities that can only be found in these specialized
Magnet schools.
In addition to the goal of expanding educational
opportunities for District children, we also have a legal
obligation to reduce racial isolation in the District schools.
This goal is important in preparing students for the culturally
diverse workforce they will be a part of as they leave the
public school systems into the 21st century.
