The Arizona delegation of the 2010 Chinese Bridge Summer Camp for American High School Students (sponsored by HANBAN’s National Office for Chinese Language International), will be meeting on Saturday, September 18th, at 1:30-3:30 pm at the Tucson Chinese Cultural Center at 1288 W River Rd, Tucson, AZ 85704-2522 to debrief on their experiences from this summer’s language, culture, and martial arts camp at Henan Province, China.
HANBAN is a non-government organization which primarily promotes Chinese language and culture. They invited 1,050 American high school students and teachers from across the nation to participate in the program this year. The program is designed to promote American high school students to learn the Chinese language and to directly experience and understand the Chinese culture and people. This is the fourth year of the program.
The Arizona delegation includes students and teachers from the Tucson and Phoenix area. The seven high schools represented are: University High, Tucson High Magnet, Catalina Foothills High, Dobson High, Mesa Academy, Arizona Virtual Academy, and Gilbert Public Schools.
