Policy Title: Discipline, Suspension, Expulsion for 504 Handicapped Students
Policy Code: JKAA

The Governing Board is committed to providing a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) to all disabled students, pursuant to the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (§504), and federal and state laws and regulations.  In accordance with Section 504, all children with disabilities, as defined by Section 504, and their parents or legal guardians, shall be provided with all rights and protections afforded them under the Act.  The District shall also provide such students and their parents or legal guardians with written procedural safeguards and all notices required by Section 504.  The Policy shall be implemented by a companion Administrative Regulation and the procedures set forth therein.
