National School Counseling Week, Feb. 4-8

The TUSD Governing Board has proclaimed February 4-8 as National School Counseling Week at TUSD. The proclamation recognizes school counselors for their efforts to help students reach their full potential in these ways:

  • by helping students explore their abilities, strengths, interests, and talents as related to career awareness and development
  • by helping parents focus on ways to further the educational, personal, and social growth of their children
  • by working with teachers and other educators to help students explore their potential and set realistic goals for themselves
  • by identifying and using community resources that enhance and complement our comprehensive school counseling programs

TUSD's Guidance, Counseling & Student Prevention Programs work with schools and educators to provide all students the necessary skills to be successful academically, socially, emotionally and in their future careers.
