This scholarship is for graduating Latino high school seniors or currently enrolled college undergraduate or graduate students. In order to be eligible for any of them, you must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be pursuing or plan to pursue a technical, undergraduate or graduate degree in the upcoming academic year. Submit a 500 – 1,000 word essay on your struggles as a Latino student.
Award: $2,500 per year for up to four years
Deadline: January 31, 2017 (Spring semester), (Fall Semester - August 31, 2017)

American Meteorolgical Society
Scholarship is open to minority students who have been traditionally underrepresented in the sciences, especially Hispanic, Native American, and Black/African American students. Applicants must be minority students who will be entering their freshman year of college in the fall of 2017 are eligible to apply; and students must plan to pursue careers in the atmospheric or related oceanic and hydrologic sciences. Marine Biology is not eligible.
Award: $6,000 two-year scholarship ($3,000 per year)
