American Chemical Society
Scholarship is open to African-American, Hispanic/Latino, and American Indian students who are graduating high school seniors or college freshmen, sophomores or juniors intending to or already majoring in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering or a chemically related science.
Award: Up to $5000

Applicant must be a current high school senior; intend to be enrolled in or accepted as a full-time students at a university in the US or Canada for the 2017-2018 school year; intend to pursue a computer science or computer engineering degree, or a degree in a closely related field and be a student from an underrepresented group in computer science (African American, Hispanic, American Indian, Filipino/Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, Female, or a person with a Disability).
Award: Up to $10,000

Scholarship for Latino Students

This scholarship is for graduating Latino high school seniors or currently enrolled college undergraduate or graduate students. In order to be eligible for any of them, you must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be pursuing or plan to pursue a technical, undergraduate or graduate degree in the upcoming academic year. Submit a 500 – 1,000 word essay on your struggles as a Latino student.
Award: $2,500 per year for up to four years

LEL helps individuals to further their career paths with a robust complement of College and Career Readiness tools. School Center focuses on K-12 skill-building and improvement in math and language arts, College Preparation Center focuses on 9-11 grade AP, PSAT, ACT, and SAT Exams, and College Center focuses on post-secondary education skill-building including practice exams for undergraduate (Accuplacer, Asset, Compass).
