Induction/Mentoring Program
Responsibility - Site Administrators
Site administrators will partner with mentors to support participating teachers towards accelerated professional growth through the TUSD Induction/Mentoring Program.
Roles

- Program Advocate
Responsibilities
- Communicate quarterly to participating teachers and mentors:
- Site goals – including assessment data
- School’s formal and informal norms
- Evaluation procedures and assigned evaluator
- Expectations for teachers
- Other supports available to new teachers
- Ways to advocate “equity” for all students
- Site instructional focus, goals, and specific programs
- Honor confidentiality between participating teachers and mentors
- Recommend to Program Director continuation of support for 4th and 5th year teachers as needed
- Recommend to Program Director a second year of support for teachers transitioning into the classroom as needed
- Discuss questions and concerns of program with Program Director
- Complete an end-of-the-year program evaluation
