ADE Audit Results in Reduction of Amount Owed by TUSD, August 31, 2011

TUSD has received the final determination letter from the Arizona Department of Education regarding the Promotoras program audit. In the last two months, district leadership and staff have worked closely with the department and collaborated with them by providing documentation and evidence to support the legitimacy of the expenditures that the Arizona Department of Education originally determined as not allowable. The successful collaboration and team effort between Finance and Title I staff paid off and resulted in a reduction of the amount owed to ADE by approximately $1.6 million.
