Summer Programs 2024
For June of 2024, a four-week summer programs is being offered. For current K-7 grade students this will be by invitation only. High School credit recovery and acceleration will be available to all current 9-11 grade students. All current 8th graders transitioning to High School next year are eligible for Freshman Academy. In addition the excellent paid programs that are offered each summer are available.
These programs are made possible by ESSER funding and the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) grant program.
K-7 Full STEAM Ahead! — Uses Opening Minds through the Arts (OMA), STEM curriculum, and highly-engaged teachers.
Students also receive ELA and Math instruction in small groups. Held in-person by invitation only at all elementary, K-8 and middle schools. Please contact your school for further information. Will be held online for TUVA students.
AP Bootcamp — Introduces any high school student to Advanced Placement curriculum and rigor. Held in-person at all high schools except Cholla and UHS. Contact your counselor for additional information
High School Summer Program — For current high school students looking for credit acceleration and credit recovery options. Held in-person at all high schools.
FREE Summer Meals — Food Services will be providing FREE breakfast and lunch at all schools to support summer school programs as follows:
- Elementary Schools:
- June 3-27 Monday-Thursday
- Breakfast: 7:30-8:00am
- Lunch: scheduled lunch times during the program as determined by each school
- K-8 and Middle Schools:
- June 3-27 Monday-Thursday
- Breakfast 8:30-9:00am
- Lunch: scheduled lunch times during the program as determined by each school
- High Schools:
- May 29-June 26 Monday-Friday
- Breakfast 7:30-8:00am
- Lunch: scheduled lunch times during the program as determined by each school
