Borman K-8

As a young child, I also lived the life of a military child. My father was in the Air Force for 22 years and retired as a Chief Master Sargent. We moved many times, my father was deployed for 6 to 12 months at a time, and we lived very far from grandparents. Military life impacted me in many ways. As the principal of a school on a military base, I can take my childhood memories as a military child and use them to provide support to our students. I am a proud graduate of Palo Verde High School and the University of Arizona.

Borman K-8 – OMA Gold
Our Borman K-8 community on DMAFB is overjoyed to be selected as the newest OMA Gold School in Tucson Unified. The OMA Gold Program will bring our students the opportunity to experience the fine arts in a significant way! We believe that the OMA Gold Program will provide our students the opportunity to grow in the arts and further their academic growth. This is an amazing opportunity for our students to blossom, while carrying on as military children.

Borman K-8 students face many challenges and demands as they experience life as military children. Not only are their parents serving our country, but also it is believed by all who serve that the children serve right beside them. Our students experience deployments, moving from one base to another, and being a support to their families. This can be tough on children, but programs such as OMA Gold provide needed support to help our children blossom.
