Guest Presenter: Miguel Flores
Member of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe and Tohono O'odham Nation. Provides Spiritual Leadership and Traditional medicine for the Tohono O'odham and Yaqui. His goal is to provide Native and Latino men, women and youth in developing healthy and holistic lifestyles by achieving harmony and balance.

Guest Presenter: Cristina D. Ramirez
Assistant professor in the Rhetoric Department of English at the University of Arizona. An author of the article "Forging a Mestiza Rhetoric: Mexican Women Journalists' Role in the Construction of National Identity."  Her book Occupying Our Space: The Mestiza Rhetorics of Mexican Women Journalist and Activists presents critical issues in identity.

Former scientist Alex Jimenez approaches art from a different perspective with an emphasis on the process and steps to arrive at a final image. This presentation will highlight artwork based in South Tucson.

October 17, Tuesday - Actor of "Digna"(Classroom)

Guest speaker: Alba Jaramillo
Alba is an actor and an activist for Women's Rights who grew up in Tucson. She studied immigration law at the University of Arizona. She stars in a one-woman play, "Digna,"written by Patricia Davis and presented by Teatro Dignidad. This play explores the experiences of Digna Ochoa, an internationally recognized Mexican indigenous civil rights attorney.
