CPR and First Aid Cards

Many Tucson Unified job classifications require employees to hold current CPR and First Aid Certifications. CPR and First Aid certification can be either two separate cards or one card with both. Trainings are valid for a period of two years and must be kept current while employed in these classifications. Training can be accepted from any authorized provider with the following exceptions:

  • NO online trainings
  • NO trainings by independent provider Joe Villa
  • NO trainings by National Mine Health and Safety Academy for employees in Exceptional Education positions

The list below has suggested providers but is not exclusive.

CURRENT TUSD EMPLOYEES

TUSD will cover renewal cost for employees whose primary position requires you maintain an active CPR/FA card as long as you attend a district-offered course. Please sign up through True North Logic to sign up for Heart Saver 1st aid/CPR/AED for K-12 Systems. For employees for whom CPR/FA is not required, please bring a $20 cashier's check or money order with you. Transportation offers additional classes for Ex Ed paraprofessionals and Transportation personnel. For more information, please contact Wayne Cuyler at wayne.cuyler@tusd1.org. Additional costs may be applied for no-shows.
